1. What this covers
This policy sets out when money comes back to you, how it is calculated and how long it takes. It supplements the Terms of Service.
It separates two situations because they do not call for the same answer. Shop products are paid up front, so a refund is a real possibility. Services on request are invoiced after delivery, so in most cases there is simply no invoice rather than a refund.
2. Digital products sent by email
The kits, templates, training tracks and written review are digital content sent to you within 48 hours. At checkout you asked for that to happen before the fourteen-day withdrawal period had run, and acknowledged that the right would be lost once the content was supplied in full. That is what allows us to send it so quickly.
Once it has been sent in full, no refund is due on the ground of withdrawal.
Three things are unaffected by that. If we have not sent your order yet, you may still withdraw and be refunded in full. If what arrives does not match its description, we correct it, and refund in full if we cannot. And if nothing ever reached you, there is nothing to withdraw from — you are refunded.
3. Advisory sessions
A session is a service, so the full fourteen-day right of withdrawal applies.
- Withdraw before the session takes place: refunded in full.
- You asked us to hold the session within the fourteen days and then withdraw: a proportionate amount for the time supplied remains due and the balance is refunded.
- A session you booked and did not attend, without telling us at least 24 hours beforehand, counts as supplied.
We show the calculation in writing before we make the refund, so you can check it.
4. Services on request
You may call off an engagement in writing at any point before work starts. Nothing has been paid, so no invoice is issued and nothing is owed either way.
If work has begun, you owe the part actually performed, measured by time spent and interim deliverables handed over. We send you the working, along with the work itself, and invoice that amount alone.
If we fail to deliver and do not put it right within a reasonable period after written notice, you may end the contract. The invoice is not issued, or is cancelled by credit note if it already went out, and anything paid is refunded in full.
5. Faults found after delivery
Faults reported within fifteen days of delivery are corrected free of charge rather than refunded. Where correction proves impossible, we refund the part of the price that corresponds to what does not work.
These do not give rise to a refund: changes you asked for outside the agreed scope, a change made by a third-party publisher to their own software, or a modification made by you or someone else after delivery.
6. How refunds are made
Refunds are made in euros, the currency in which you were charged, to the payment method you used, and cover the full amount paid including VAT. We add no charge of our own. Where your payment method settled in another currency, the rate applied on the way back is set by your provider and may differ slightly from the one applied on the way out — that difference is outside our control.
We refund within fourteen days of accepting that a refund is due, and normally much sooner.
7. Complaints
Complaints should be made in writing to contact@unrealengineacademy.info, or by post to DESENDER LIMITED, 20th Floor, Leighton Centre, 77 Leighton Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.
We acknowledge every complaint within five working days and give a reasoned reply within thirty days.
